Approach

It can be hard to take the first step towards seeking help in times of distress and crisis. I like to focus on individuals’ resilience and motivation to seek change in order to help them to better understand and overcome their difficulties. Through evidence-based therapeutic models, I use a collaborative, warm and empathic approach to help identify and address challenges, draw upon strengths and take the necessary steps towards achieving therapeutic goals.

Experience

Susie is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council, UK. Susie has experience working with a range of mental health difficulties including mild to severe anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, bereavement, psychosis and personality disorders. She uses techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy as well as third -wave approaches such as Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion-Focused Therapy.
